We’re Jared & Amy.

We were born and raised on opposite ends of California - Jared from the north, and Amy from the south. Our paths first crossed at a wedding in San Francisco in 2009. After hours on the phone and dozens of trips to visit each other, we got married in 2011 and decided to call San Jose home.

After seven years in the Bay Area, with much of our time consumed by long commutes to our respective jobs, we found ourselves yearning for a life that was simpler and more connected to nature. We wanted room to spread out, do some homesteading, and work toward being as self-sufficient as possible. So we decided to make the move to Oregon in 2019.

Since relocating, we have been immersing ourselves in various projects, enjoying getting our hands dirty in the garden, raising chickens and ducks for eggs, supporting our local farmers and small businesses, and taking time to appreciate the stunning natural beauty that surrounds us. But, it’s just the beginning! We have big dreams for growing our little homestead. We welcome you to follow along with our journey!
